Helping A Blocked Little Nose

A newborn cannot blow their own nose. When they are stuffy they feed badly, sleep badly, and everyone has a long night. This electric nasal aspirator clears a blocked nose gently and quickly, so your baby can breathe, feed and settle again.

It replaces the fiddly manual bulb syringe with steady, controllable suction — and because it is powered rather than squeezed, you can keep one hand free for your baby.

Why Parents Choose It

  • You Choose The Strength — three suction levels let you begin gently and step up only if the blockage needs it.
  • The Right Tip For The Job — three interchangeable silicone tips: a rounded tip for everyday use, a ridged tip for dry or crusted mucus, and a fluted tip for thin, runny congestion.
  • Soft Where It Matters — the tips are moulded in food-grade silicone, chosen to be kind to a delicate nasal lining and to avoid mouth contact and the cross-infection that comes with older bulb designs.
  • Calm To Use — a quiet motor and a warm LED light, so a night-time clear-out does not turn into a fully awake baby.
  • Clear Display — an LED readout shows the level you are on and the charge remaining, with a long press to start and a short press to pause.
  • Genuinely Easy To Clean — every part that touches your baby detaches and rinses under a running tap.

Using It Well

A little saline drop in each nostril a minute beforehand loosens things and makes the whole job easier. Start on the lowest setting, seal the tip gently at the nostril opening rather than pushing it in, and work in short bursts of a few seconds. Two or three passes per nostril is plenty. Please stop if there is any bleeding or obvious discomfort, and speak to your GP or health visitor if your baby is struggling to breathe or feed. Clean and dry the tips after every use, and keep the small parts away from babies and young children.

Common questions

It is intended for use from newborn onwards, always with an adult operating it. Start on the lowest of the three suction levels and only step up if the blockage genuinely needs it.

The rounded tip is the everyday choice. The ridged tip is designed for dry or crusted mucus, and the fluted tip suits thin, runny congestion. If you are unsure, start with the rounded one.

No. Seal it gently against the opening of the nostril rather than pushing it in. The suction does the work — forcing the tip further in risks irritating the nasal lining.

Two or three short passes per nostril is usually plenty, and most parents use it a few times a day at most during a cold. Stop immediately if there is any bleeding or your baby is clearly distressed, and speak to your GP or health visitor if they are struggling to breathe or feed.

It helps a great deal. A drop of saline in each nostril a minute before you start loosens dried mucus and makes the whole job quicker and gentler.

The tips pull apart and rinse under a running tap. Let them dry fully before reassembling. The motor unit is electronic — wipe it with a damp cloth only, and never hold it under water.

Rinsing under the tap and drying thoroughly is what we would recommend for everyday use. Do not boil the tips or put the motor unit in a steriliser or dishwasher.

It has a 500mAh rechargeable battery that takes roughly two hours to charge from the supplied USB cable. Each session only uses a few seconds of running time, so a full charge covers a lot of use.

It uses a low-noise motor and a soft warm LED rather than a bright white light, specifically so a night-time clear-out does not leave you with a fully awake baby. It is not silent, but it is quiet.
